Will Arnett is set to guest star on The Office season 7 finale.

Will Arnett has been cast alongside Christina Applegate in her NBC comedy pilot.
Arnett plays the husband. Which also means, btw, that he’s likely not secretly cast to take over for Steve Carell on NBC’s The Office. Arnett is making a guest appearance in the show’s season finale along with Ricky Gervais, which fueled speculation that he might be the new boss next season. Not even an illusionist can be two places at once (unless NBC decided to pluck him from the new project and stick him in The Office, but would they toy with us like that? Come on!).

NBC and producers of The Office are pulling out all the stops for the finale of this pivotal seventh season, lining up several major guest stars for the final episode.
EW can exclusively reveal that Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett will appear in the finale.

Is Will Arnett joining The Office?
He will if Ricky Gervais has his way. The creator and star of the original Office says he wants Arnett to join the U.S. cast.
“Had a little meeting with NBC about various things and recommended Will Arnett for a regular in The Office,” Gervais wrote on his blog. “Thoughts? I think he’s amazing.” Gervais is an executive producer on the stateside version.
