CNN Heroes Event and my Giant Hair
Yes, I attended the CNN Heroes Event in Los Angeles the other night. Yes, I had giant hair. And I loved them both!
Lee, Rainn, Kate, Creed and I attended the CNN Heroes Event and it was an AMAZING night.
CNN Heroes honors 10 ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. These stories are heartwarming and inspirational.
One man, Jorge Munoz, drives a bus all day long, goes home to his family and together they cook 150 meals in their kitchen for the homeless. They drive their truck to the same corner each night and hand out the meals. He gets food donated and keeps it in 6 refrigerators around his house!

Visit the set of The Office
Brian Baumgartner (Kevin) is auctioning off a visit to The Office set! If you are interested, visit here to bid:
Proceeds benefit the group Hollywood Arts.
Generally visitors sit in our green room just steps away from the stage and watch us film for about 2 hours. This is always a cool experience because you see what it takes to make a scene work from beginning to end. You see us laugh, do bits, and generally mess up along the way.

First off a big THANK YOU to everyone who reached out to Kitten Rescue last weekend. They received several applications for adoptions and some donations of food and money. It was all greatly appreciated!

Nerinx Hall has tapped one of its own – who just happens to be one of the country’s hottest actresses — to chair this year’s AuctioNerinx, the school’s main fundraiser.
Jenna Fischer of “The Office,” a Nerinx class of 1991 grad, will chair the auction with Gina Baruzzini-Augsburger and Rita Switzer. The event is scheduled for March 13 at the Sheraton Westport-Chalet.

Kitten Rescue is celebrating 12 successful years of animal rescue in Los Angeles. The Fur Ball at the Skirball will feature celebrity guests, cocktails and Hors D’Oevres, dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle and much more! All proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit Jenna’s favorite charity, Kitten Rescue’s programs and the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary.

Being on hiatus means I get to catch up on a lot of home projects. My latest project – trying to clean the upholstered white slip cover on my couch. I’ve tried this before to lackluster results. The cover is a white linen – stupid choice, yes, BUT I’m a girl and it’s very girlie and pretty…when it’s clean.
My fiance’s family is coming for Thanksgiving and I can’t bear for them to see the wine splotched, chocolate stained, dingy slipcover! We recently fostered a little kitten who walked into our fireplace and then all over the white slipcover. I have about a dozen perfect kitten paw prints covering 2 of the cushions. Ha! You can totally see the spot where I realized what was happening and swooped in to save the couch. I looked online and a new slipcover is over a thousand dollars! That’s as much as the couch!

Lil Rounds! No more extensions, no more gowns! I don’t like the glam Lil Rounds. I like the powerhouse. The force to be reckoned with. I like the strong woman with the unbelievable voice who I imagine walks offstage, cooks dinner for her 3 kids, checks their homework and keeps them in line with the raise of an eyebrow.

I’d like to set the record straight – I was NOT dancing on the tables.
