We’ve officially acquired TOC
Hello readers!
I just wanted to let you know that NettesLayouts.com has officially acquired TheOfficeChat.com!
I’d like to give a big thanks to Aldo for trusting me with the site, and for taking care of it for these past years. And to Mose (Andrew), who’s been loyal to the chat since 2007. We want Mose to continue helping us and to do great things for the chat.
We merged with the chat in 2009 and it went wonderfully! We’ve had five cast chats since we’ve merged and a few trivia nights with the chatters. Since we now officially own the chat, we have BIG things in store!
Here are a few changes you’ll see in the coming weeks:
1. We are getting a brand new chat next week! Whether you were with us in 2007 or just started chatting, you’ll need to create a new username and password. The change will not happen until 10/18. So no worries when you stop by this Thursday.
2. TheOfficeChat.com page will be a little different. Currently, when you type TheOfficechat.com url in your browser, it directs you to our site. That will stay the same. We have been gradually changing the page it’s been on these past couple years but it will be changed even more, especially when we put the new chat in next week.
3. A little bit about the new shiny chat:
-new animated smileys
-private message system
-create your own profile with profile picture, favorite Office quote and more
-users can totally customize the chat theme
-hundreds of fonts
-the office sounds
-change the size of your font
-create rooms
-share files
-save chat messages
4. We plan on having a couple more fun trivia nights and are trying really hard to set up a cast chat.
So these are a few new things that you’ll be seeing very soon! Things will be changing but we are still keeping the overall “feel” of the chat. We encourage you to tell your Office friends on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and everywhere else! The more people we get in the chat, the better! And if you haven’t visited for a while, now’s the perfect time to come back! Thanks to everyone who has supported us!
TheOfficeChat – Live Trivia Night
November 13th at 9pm EST, TheOfficeChat.com will be having LIVE OFFICE TRIVIA of the episode “MURDER”. No prizes- just for fun!

Kate Flannery will be stopping by the OfficeChat to talk with all of her fans! Kate Flannery plays “Meredith” on NBC’s “The Office”. Her comedy lounge act, “The Lampshades”, plays in Hollywood at the IO West stage and has been for over seven years, also at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and many clubs around the country.

Melora Hardin Chat
WOW! What a night last night! We had the privilege to chat with OFFICE star Melora Hardin! It was her first time chatting in a chat room with OFFICE fans. She was so sweet and answered all of the questions in great detail. She especially had fun posting the smileys, it was so cute lol! She mostly talked about her new family film called “You”. And she chatted about future TV roles and of course, being Jan on “The Office”.
Nette’s Layouts and TheOfficeChat would like to thank Melora for coming by to chat with us! She took extra time in the open chat to speak with us all and made sure she answered most of the questions that were thrown at her by all of the excited fans! She is truly top notch!!!
