NBC and producers of The Office are pulling out all the stops for the finale of this pivotal seventh season, lining up several major guest stars for the final episode.
EW can exclusively reveal that Ricky Gervais and Will Arnett will appear in the finale.
The 48-year-old funnyman is in talks to play a marriage therapist who tries to help a husband and wife rekindle their 31-year relationship in the film, which already has two-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep on board.
While Meryl has signed up to play the wife it is not yet known who will play her husband – though Jeff Bridges has reportedly been considered.
NBC has confirmed that season 7 will be the last for Steve Carell (Michael Scott).
News reports are popping up all over the web, due to the TCA Press Week, saying that Michael Scott will be departing from ‘The Office’ sooner rather than later. NBC has actually confirmed that news today. I will be updating this blog with the latest news.
Here are articles about spoiler episode plots, speculations and all sorts of things from around the web that have to do with Michael Scott leaving the show:

Steve Carell from The Office is nominated: BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES – COMEDY OR MUSICAL
STEVE CARELL THE OFFICE
We will be updating this post as news, pictures and videos come out!
Departing Office star Steve Carell is staying in the NBC comedy business as a writer. The Peacock has bought a half-hour, single-camera project from the actor-comedian based on his early days working as a mail carrier in Littleton, Massachusetts.
Office boss Paul Lieberstein promises us fans that Steve Carell’s seriously sad departure from The Office is not the beginning of the end for the Dunder Mifflin empire.
In fact, the producers behind NBC’s hit comedy have all sorts of goodness planned before, during and after Michael Scott says goodbye, including (perhaps) a big-screen adventure.
“There’s been no talk at any point of The Office ending,” Paul tells us exclusively. Turns out, the only folks talking about any such thing are reporters covering the show—ya hear that, fellow media hounds?
In fact, the show’s still going so strong that we might even see an Office flick a few years down the line. How awesome would that be?
