Melora Hardin, from The Office, plays the hysterical character Jan Levenson, but she is serious about healthy food for her 2 young girls. She wants mealtime to be fun and not a place for negotiation and power struggles. This is easier said than done. Through trial and error she figured out what works for her family. She and her husband, Gildart Jackson, have a few simple strategies based on the basic idea of never saying “eat one more bite and you can have dessert.” Parent Earth interviewed Melora and filmed her family’s breakfast to see how she does it.

Kate, Melora and Oscar at the Hollywood Christmas Parade
The Hollywood Christmas Parade was held on Sunday, November 29th in Hollywood. This year’s Grand Marshal was Daytime television icon and “All My Children” star Susan Lucci. The parade started at 6:00pm, on Hollywood Boulevard at Orange, the U-shaped parade route traveled east to Vine, south on Vine to Sunset Boulevard and west to Sunset and then back to Orange.

How Melora Hardin stays fit in New Orleans

Melora Hardin has to film a fight scene. In lingerie.
Hardin is in New Orleans making “Knucklehead,” the story of a desperate promoter (played by Mark Feuerstein), a wrestler (Paul “Big Show” Wight), and an orphanage employee (Hardin), who together take a road trip to the big fight.
“We end up landing in New Orleans,” Hardin said. “The climax of the movie happens here. People will see a lot of the city.” The movie has shot in City Park, the Roosevelt Hotel and on Airline Highway, among other locations.
“I love New Orleans, it’s a great city,” she said. “I totally could live here.”

Of course you fans of “The Office” know her scene-stealing antics on the show as the neurotic Jan Levinson, Michael Scott’s (Steve Carell) superior at corporate headquarters who — when she thought she was pregnant with his child uttered the words, “I am taking a calculated risk. What’s the upside? I overcome my nausea, fall deeply in love, babies, normalcy, no more self-loathing. What’s the downside? I date Michael Scott publicly and collapse on myself like a dying star.”
Of course, she’s a big Hollywood star who was asked by Clint Eastwood to sing at a tribute for him — after all he did direct her in ‘Absolute Power.’ And, yes that was her in ’27 Dresses,’ ’17 Again’ with Matthew Perry, ‘Thank You for Smoking’ and about a bazillion other film, television and stage credits.

WOW! What a night last night! We had the privilege to chat with OFFICE star Melora Hardin! It was her first time chatting in a chat room with OFFICE fans. She was so sweet and answered all of the questions in great detail. She especially had fun posting the smileys, it was so cute lol! She mostly talked about her new family film called “You”.
