About

ABOUT THE OFFICE:

The Office is an American mockumentary comedy television series that broadcasts on NBC. An adaptation of the BBC series The Office, the series depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. To simulate the look of an actual documentary, it is filmed in a single-camera setup, without a studio audience or a laugh track. The presence of the camera is often explicitly acknowledged by the characters.

The Office was adapted for American audiences by executive producer Greg Daniels, a veteran writer for Saturday Night Live, King of the Hill, Rugrats and The Simpsons. The creators of the original BBC series, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, have production credits, and also co-wrote the very first episode and the season three episode, “The Convict”. It is co-produced by Daniels’s Deedle-Dee Productions, and Reveille Productions, in association with NBC Universal Television Studios. The show debuted on NBC as a midseason replacement on March 24, 2005, replacing the situation comedy Committed (which was itself a mid-season replacement).

The original BBC version enjoyed significant success in the UK and abroad, and won two Golden Globes. NBC then commissioned a U.S. version.

The Office is currently one of NBC’s best rated shows, and consistently delivers a very high 18-49 demographic rating.

Repeats of The Office are also broadcast in syndications, notably on TBS and Fox-owned stations in the US, on the Comedy Network in Canada, and also on Comedy Central and ITV4 in the United Kingdom.

The sixth season premiered on September 17, 2009 at 9:00 PM ET.

About three years ago as a huge fan of The Office I found it incredibly hard to find anything Office related to add to my myspace page or to send to my friends who like me loved the show. I bought photoshop and decided to teach myself how to use it so I could have my own Office layouts for my page. It wasn’t easy to learn by myself but I tried and tried until I grasped the main features. I took tutorials and even now I’m still learning new things everyday. As time went on I would have random fans messaging me asking where did you get that layout you’re using? They wanted to add it to their pages as well. I told them I made my own and  they’d always sadly reply, I wish I could do that. Then one day it hit me to create a myspace layout page for all Office fans to come and snag comments and layouts. It started out very small with a couple of the layouts I had made for my own personal page. Then, with the help of many other fans, we created Happy Office Thursday comments for all fans to send to their friends to celebrate Office Thursdays.

Since then it’s grown so big, over 75+ Office layouts and many comments, banners, wallpapers and so so much more. I even added Dunderheads who know how to make graphics too!!

If you know how to make graphics (Office related of course) or anything please email me at netteslayouts@aol.com and I’ll gladly set you up with your own blog on my site. Please email me if you’d like to help out with this site and be a blog contributor or an episode reviewer, I’ll take all the help I can get!

My page is to supply Dunderheads with unique art to spice up their myspace pages/blogs/facebook pages to show support for the best show ever, The Office! We are in NO way claiming that we make the best Office graphics. There are many other talented Dunderheads out there too so check them out. We’re just a couple of kittens out on the town having fun supplying Dunderheads with Office stuff!

Please, if you like this site tell your friends! :)
